Consultation
A discussion to determine any problems you might be experiencing. eg. seeing, reading, headaches, glaucoma and family history. |
Retinoscopy
The part of the eye test, where your prescription will be roughly determined if necessary to read the chart correctly. |
Subjective Test/ Refraction
Where your final strength prescription is determined. You will read the chart, with each eye individually and then both together. |
Ophthalmoscopy
A vital health check for your eye. Searching for conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma and examines the retinas. |
Digital Fundus Photography
The latest digital technology allows us to photograph inside your eye, store the images and compare from previous examinations |
Slit Lamp Examination
This examines many of the structures of the eye with magnification, helping us to determine the health of the eye. |
Tonometry: Pressure Check
The pressure of the eye is checked to see if it is within the normal range. |
Visual Field Test
Will test your peripheral and central fields of vision to detect any defects in the field. |
